Julie Yu

Bilingual paralegal

Julie Yu is a bilingual paralegal at Kodem Son Tang. She supports attorneys to liaise with Korean clients in navigating complex immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters. In her role, Julie contributes to case preparation, client communication, and document management, as well as translation, while maintaining strict confidentiality and attention to detail.  

Julie is a 1st generation immigrant herself who has experienced various visa processes from J1 through naturalized citizenships spanning 15 years in the U.S. She became more interested in immigration law and wanted to contribute in the field where she can use her firsthand experiences to navigate complex immigration issues with empathy and analytical mindset.

Prior to becoming part of the Kodem Son Tang team, Julie worked as a software developer in non-profit organizations. She enjoys using her technical skills and detailed oriented approach with cases.
